OCT. 17-19, 2008
Great Lakes Bioneers Conference Campus of Northwestern Michigan College, Traverse
City, Michigan
Here's another good conference, with speakers that include
Paul Stamets on "Solutions from the Underground:
Using Fungi to Help Save the World"
David Orr, "Some Like It Hot, But Lots Don't:
The Changing Climate of US Politics"
Janine Benyus on "Biomimicry Solutions to Environmental
Crises"
To inform citizens about the dire consequences
of climate change and species extinction, and how these problems are
being addressed at local, national, and international levels;
To convince citizens that they must act now, on
behalf of all peoples and all species, for what affects even the least
visible of earth’s creatures affects us all;
To help citizens concerned about climate
change and species extinction support one another and participate in
local, national, and international efforts to slow climate change and
species extinction and reduce their harmful effects.
We must change our lives
and convince other people to do the same.
